Since 1940, the Orange Housing Authority of Texas has been serving Low and Moderate income residents by providing them with decent, safe and sanitary housing. Our history as a public housing entity shows that we provide unique services that go well beyond the housing services provided by the private market.
The Housing Authority City of Orange’s objective is to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing.
PUBLIC HOUSING This program involves publicly owned apartments. Residents generally pay rent, which is 30% of their household’s monthly income, adjusted according to HUD regulations, or a required minimum rent. In order to be eligible for this program, a household’s income cannot be more than “very low income.”
